In 2012 it became an amazing sensation when the top 10 instructors on Udemy have earned together over 1.6 million dollars. Late in 2012 they announced that 1 of every 4 lecturers on the platform earns over $10,000 annually — from a course that takes 40-50 hours on average to develop.

  3. I would love to join this course: ‘Develop iPhone and iPad apps with no programming experience’

    1. Hey Glory, welcome and good luck! Do you have an idea and can’t wait to make it happen?? 🙂

  4. I adore Farnoosh and her work is highly inspirational, as is yours Meron. I want that ten-minute invigoration course to boost my productivity NOW! thank you. Gabi

  5. I am ready to take my blog to the next step. I would love to know how to get my blog site into an app without needing to know any programming. i am a recovering technophobe and this would be nice, if it’s easy to follow again.

  6. I believe we become that which we surround ourselves with. The more successful entrepreneurs I surround myself with, the more successful entrepreneurs I have as role models, the more likely I am to emulate those characters that brought them success and will bring me closer to the goals I want. Thank you for the Success Series. Gabi

  7. I often feel overwhelmed by all there is to do, and have trouble focusing on the tasks that will bring me the greatest benefit. I believe the art of doing less will help me focus on doing that which will bring me the greatest bang for my buck, time wise. Thank you Meron. I’m already inspired by what you are bringing here. Thank you, Gabi

  8. Hi Meron!

Awesome podcast! I’d LOVE to take the “Develop iPhone and iPad apps with no programming experience” course.

    1. Hey David. Thanks so much! It’s great to see you here! 🙂 Good luck with the giveaway.. Do you have an app idea in mind? Just curious.

  9. Hello Meron! The Udemy site has a lot of great courses. The “Develop iPhone and iPad apps with no programming experience”, in particular, would be my choice. Thanks!

    1. Hey Laura, thanks so much for joining the giveaway. Good luck! 🙂 Any app idea already? Just curious!

Hope your weekend was good. Was too warm around here!

  10. I started my first company when I was 22. 6 years later, I felt the need to study more and wanted to do my masters in entrepreneurship. After weighing in the pro’s and con’s of putting my business on hold and investing my savings in school I decided to drop the idea of school and continue with business in the real world.

That certainly did not come without the cons. I wanted to learn from experienced entrepreneurs in the industry. Welcome Udemy!

Some of the courses that I have done over the past few months have enriched my knowledge which I was so after in the first place.. Learning from experts at a fraction of what I was going to pay. Allowing me to grow my business while I studied exactly the courses that I wanted to take. In my world thats a win-win.

The book the four hour work week inspired me to build my own outsourcing system. Given a choice, I would love to study “The Art of Less Doing – Make Everything in Life Easier”

    1. Hi Gaurav, thanks for your comment!

I hear you on the entire studies vs. business dilema — having dropped out of college on my last semester, and I never looked back 🙂 What Udemy courses do you recommend entrepreneurs to take? What are your top 5?

By the way, I think you’ll LOVE the next episode, were Stacey Ferreira from MySocialCloud (the 18 y/o that Richard Branson & J. Murdock invested $1M in) joins the show and talks about everything – from her amazing story, to mistakes made and lessons learned, why she dropped out of college and her thoughts on the subject in general. It sounds like it’s right up your alley? 🙂

Good luck in the giveaway, and thanks so much for joining the conversation!
      Meron

P.S. is the business that you mentioned SocialMediaCompany? I’ll check it out!

      1. Thanks Meron..

Im going to check MySocialCloud.com sounds interesting..

The 3 courses that I really picked up some golden nuggets from were:

1.Growth Hacking: Lean Marketing for Startups – Mattan Griffel
        2. Build. Measure. Learn. Lean Startup SXSW 2012 -Eric Ries (Just love his stuff)
        3. 21 Critical Lessons for Entrepreneurs

Yup our company is http://www.socialmediacompany.com 🙂 getting ready for hopefully a grand launch in the coming weeks!

  11. I’m really interested in the course “Develop iphone and iPad apps with no programming experience”. Consider this my contest entry!

      1. No ideas yet, just seems like it’ll come in handy 🙂 I’m inspired by the ideas over at thefoundation.io

            1. Actually – I already interviewed him! It’ll be published in June. Although half of it was really Dane interviewing me… You see, I asked too many questions about idea extraction — so he decided to demonstrate it live 🙂 I hope you’ll like it Trevor!

  12. Meron Bareket is the man. innovative, creative, and inventive. i know him from close and i am happy to also have a friend like him. the truth is out, cause the truth is in. bless

  13. Hey Meron, excellent podcast — my new companion at the gym and while out walking the dog! Nice job scoring some big name guests right out of the gate, very cool.

I would love to take part in Ari’s Art of Less Doing course. I’m a fan of his blog and think it would be awesome to take a deeper dive and learn even more from him.

    Cheers,
    Nick

Also, thank you for the Udemy offer. I would love to be considered for the Art of Doing Less.

    You Rock!

    1. Chris, thanks for stopping by, man! Thanks for joining the giveaway, fingers crossed for you my friend! How are things?
      Be awesome! 🙂

  17. Meron,

I would like to take advantage of your offer of requesting more than one course.

I would be great to also be in the running for Farnoosh’s ‘The 10 Minute Daily Invigorator’.

    Thanks so much.

  18. Mr. Quintero’s ‘Entrepreneur Success Series’ sounds awesome! I’d love to participate in that Udemy course as well.

    Meron, you are the man!!!

  19. Hi Meron,
I found your podcast this past week and was instantly inspired by it. I listened to all 7 episodes in a week, and feel now is the time to take action on all the ideas I’ve had, and taken note of. I’m a designer by trade and have the UX and UI of apps roughed out, but it’s the coding aspect that’s been my barrier to entry into the app world so far.

I’d love to take part in Benny Hsu ‘Develop iPhone and iPad apps with no programming experience’ course at udemy. I’ve got multiple ideas which I truly believe are the beginning of my entrepreneurship and would love to document this process as I go, and show others how it’s possible to take a passion and make a business out of it.

Thanks, and keep up the great work!

    1. Will, that’s terrific! I can’t wait to follow your process. Thank you so much for your comment, too. I appreciate it. Benny’s course should be the perfect match for you indeed.

Here’s to your success! Hope I can have you on the show soon as the inspiring story for others to follow! 🙂
